Is it worth it?
Set in the 1970s Los Angeles stand-up scene, I’m Dying Up Here follows a group of comics chasing their break — risking everything for a laugh, a paycheck, or a shot at Johnny Carson’s couch.
For the campaign, we captured that tension between ambition and vulnerability — the bright lights, the smoke, and the silence that follows the punchline.
We created a companion series that captured the other side of stand-up — the longing, the solitude, the quiet belief that something bigger might still be out there. It was less cynical, more dreamlike, a moment suspended between hope and heartbreak.
